Overview

rstatd publishes a variety of system and kernel performance metrics via a socket based RPC mechanism. Client applications are able to access this information remotely via the network. LoadRunner, for example supports the gathering of performance data via the RSTAT protocol during test scenario execution - giving access to system based performance statistics over the period of performance test runs.
